Using this Scarab in a personal Map Device makes the area contain three additional Shrines. It increases Shrine opportunities; the Shrine types, locations, and practical uptime are not guaranteed by the item record.
Plan around finding and using the Shrines.
Choose maps and Atlas strategies where additional Shrines support clearing or related mechanics. Reach them early enough for their effects to influence a meaningful part of the run.
Shrines can appear late or provide effects that do not materially improve the run. The Scarab is consumed when the map is opened.
Shrine strategies create direct Scarab demand.
Value follows current supply and the popularity of Domination-focused mapping. Three Shrines are guaranteed by the modifier, but their types and total economic return are not.
