Point jewellery quality at Attribute modifiers.
Adaptive Catalyst applies quality to a ring or amulet so that qualifying Attribute modifiers receive the benefit. Applying it replaces other jewellery quality types; it does not create a new Attribute modifier.
Count the useful Attribute modifiers first.
Inspect the target's qualifying Attribute modifiers and its existing quality. Use this Catalyst only when improving those modifiers is worth replacing the current quality family.
Other quality types are replaced. Jewellery without strong qualifying Attribute modifiers gains little from this application.
Attribute-focused jewellery creates targeted demand.
The exchange value reflects players optimising rings and amulets with Attribute modifiers. The same Catalyst can be valuable on one item and ineffective on another.
