Improve the quality of a caster weapon.
An Arcanist's Etcher improves the quality of a wand, staff, or sceptre in Path of Exile 2. It is the spell-oriented weapon-quality currency identified by the current game record.
Invest in the weapon you intend to keep.
Use it on a caster weapon worth developing, after confirming that quality contributes to the weapon plan. Temporary levelling gear may be replaced before the investment has time to matter.
It applies only to the listed weapon families. Quality is one layer of an item; it does not repair weak modifiers or guarantee a valuable finished weapon.
Caster progression shapes demand.
Demand follows caster gearing and the supply of weapons worth improving. Price observations value an Etcher in the current league; they do not measure the quality of your weapon's other properties.
