Inspect the target's qualifying Armour, Evasion, and Energy Shield modifiers and current quality. Apply this Catalyst only when improving those modifiers is worth replacing the existing quality family.
Other quality types are replaced. Jewellery without strong qualifying Armour, Evasion, and Energy Shield modifiers gains little from the application.
