Omen of Bartering
Understand how an active Omen of Bartering changes the Gold assessment of the next item sold to a Path of Exile 2 vendor.
What happens if you use it?
The next sold item's Gold assessment is changed.
The item is still sold and the Omen does not preserve it.
A deliberate vendor sale justifies accepting assessment variance.
The changed value may disappoint or trigger on the wrong item.
While this item is active in your inventory your next sold item's Gold value will be incorrectly assessed by the Vendor

Randomise the next sold item's vendor Gold value.
When activated in the inventory, this Omen is consumed when the next sold item's Gold value is incorrectly assessed by the vendor. It affects one vendor sale and does not state that the changed assessment must be higher.
Choose the trigger item before activating it.
Identify the item intended for sale and compare its ordinary Gold value with the uncertainty introduced by the Omen. Avoid accidental low-value sales while it is active.
The Omen is consumed on the next qualifying sale, and 'incorrectly assessed' can be uncertain rather than beneficial. An unintended sale can waste the trigger.
Gold-seeking players create speculative demand.
Market value follows willingness to gamble on a changed assessment. Exceptional results do not establish an average outcome, and the source wording gives no guaranteed increase.
