The Catalyst applies quality to a ring or amulet and directs that quality toward Caster modifiers. Applying it replaces other jewellery quality types, so it is a category choice rather than an additional universal layer.
Check which modifiers actually receive the quality benefit.
Inspect the target's Caster-tagged modifiers and compare their benefit with the jewellery's current quality type. Apply only when replacing that existing quality supports the build.
Other quality types are replaced. A jewellery piece with few relevant Caster modifiers may gain little from the change.
Caster jewellery demand supports its price.
Exchange value reflects players improving spell-oriented rings and amulets. Catalyst quality does not add a new modifier or improve unrelated stats.
