Choose a martial weapon whose type and properties already support the character. The imported record begins at drop level 5 and stacks to 20. Quality is most understandable as another layer of investment in that chosen weapon.
The source record targets martial weapons, not every possible item. Quality leaves an unsuitable base or modifier set unsuitable, so evaluate the weapon before treating the currency as an automatic upgrade.
Separate the currency's price from the weapon's value.
Broad weapon progression can create regular demand, while the current exchange ratio moves with league supply and crafting activity. A cheap whetstone does not make every target worth improving.
