Improve a gem's quality, then read what that gem gains.
Gemcutter's Prism raises the quality of a gem, up to the ordinary 20% maximum stated by the source directions. Quality is a shared measurement, but its practical bonus is defined by the individual gem; the prism does not raise every gem in exactly the same way.
Prioritize gems whose quality bonus matters to the build.
Read the gem's quality line before spending. A frequently used skill or support with a meaningful quality bonus is a stronger candidate than a gem whose bonus contributes little to the current setup.
Quality is not the same as gem level, and applying a prism does not guarantee a dramatic performance increase. Confirm the gem, its present quality, and the specific benefit shown before using one.
Demand follows gem investment and character progression.
Prisms are consumed across many gem projects, so their activity can change as players develop builds and leagues mature. The market panel gives a time-stamped comparison without treating that ratio as permanent.
