Runes and Augment-Socket Upgrades

Rune operations belong to the equipment Augment Socket system. A Rune supplies an effect; a Masterwork Rune upgrades an eligible tiered Rune that is already socketed. Neither action should be confused with Skill Gem support capacity.

PoE1 equipment sockets, links, and socketed gems are a different system. PoExplorer does not import PoE2 Rune instructions into PoE1.
