Remove one modifier without choosing which one.
A Path of Exile 1 Orb of Annulment removes one random modifier from a magic or rare item. The item and its other modifiers remain, but every removable modifier shares the risk of being selected.
Use it only when the odds justify risking the good properties.
Count the modifiers you want to keep and the ones you want gone before using the orb. It can create useful open modifier space, but it cannot target the unwanted property. The decision is a probability trade rather than a precise edit.
The orb can remove the item's best modifier. It does not add a replacement, and the selected modifier cannot be previewed. Avoid treating an open slot as guaranteed when several good properties are at risk.
The currency price is only one part of the gamble.
Current exchange value prices the orb, while the larger exposure may be the item and its desirable modifiers. League crafting demand changes the ratio, but no market price improves the chance of removing the intended property.
